Have you heard of the Blessing Box?

The Blessing Box is a community pantry created by our friends at Volunteer Home Mortgage. The box is located outside of their office at 1033 West Broadway Ave in Maryville, TN.

The box serves as a place to “take what you need, leave what you can.” You can find a variety of snacks, soup, canned food, rice, canned vegetables, tuna, toiletry items, books, and more. Everything in the box is free and open to the anyone who needs it.

Volunteer Home Mortgage is asking for volunteers to help stock the box. Individuals, familes and businesses can sign up to restock the pantry once a month or however often you wish. All non-perishable foods and toiletry items are welcome, but some of the following items are favorites.

  • Hamburger helper
  • Soup
  • Tuna
  • Canned chicken
  • Canned vegetables
  • Rice
  • Soap
  • Laundry detergent
  • Toilet paper
  • Toothpaste

Our team is excited to help stock the box once a month. On June 10th, we delivered our first donation of items. Within 4 hours, most of the toiletries were gone.
