In 1913, the construction of Fairview Church was started by a small group in south Maryville. Since its first Sunday service on February 18, 1914, Fairview has been a staple of the community just over the Maryville city line into Blount County. The second building was completed in 1973, and the present-day facility began use on June 30, 2003.
Today, Fairview has a congregation of more than 1900 members, and they perform outreach activities in the Maryville community and around the world. Fairview operates a wide variety of ministries and activities such as a meal ministry, global mission ministries, a food pantry, a clothes closet, vacation bible school, an annual car show, youth choir, and that’s not mentioning weekly Sunday services, discipleship and small groups, and music ministries! The church even provides physical space during the week for The Learning Tree Preschool.
